HOW DO I FIND OUT THE SIZE OF THE ITEMS?
WHERE DO I FIND THE FLEECES YOU HAVE?
Click HERE to see the fleeces available. Please note that due to the limited storage I have here, I may have to order it in especially for you, but it's normally here within a couple of days. If you would like anything in particular, just let me know the colour or theme and I'll let you know what my suppliers have in stock. They carry a huge range, but due to limited storage I can't keep it all here
CAN I PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?
Due to family commitments, it is now no longer possible to place a custom order for anything other than cage liners or ramp carpets
HOW LONG DOES A CUSTOM ORDER TAKE TO MAKE?
That will depend on what you order and how many orders I have to make already. It can range from a few days upwards. Please allow up to four weeks for a custom order
HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHERE MY ORDER IS IN THE LIST TO BE MADE?
DO YOU HAVE PRE-MADE ITEMS ?
I will now be concentrating on doing mostly pre-made items which you will find HERE Some items can be posted out the same day and others (which are part-made) will be sent out as soon as they are finished which may be the same day, but will be within three working days
DO I GET EMAIL AN CONFIRMATION OF MY ORDER?
Yes. You will get an email to confirm that I have your order, and a second email confirming that I have received payment. When I start making your custom order, or packing your pre-made items, you'll get a "processing" email and a final "shipped" email when I have posted your order. You can check the status of your order at any time by logging into your account.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY ORDER?
Custom order cage liners have to be paid for before they are made, and are made in the order that they are paid for, not the order that they are placed. They are not added to the list to be made until they are paid for, so the sooner you pay, the sooner your order will be made.
Please Note: Pre-made items must be paid for within 24 hours or they are returned to the shop. This is to prevent items being put on hold which is not fair on other customers
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ITEMS?
WHAT IF THE FLEECE I WANT IS NOT A CHOICE ON THE ITEM I WANT TO ORDER?
Please email me, and if it is available and suitable for the item you'd like to order, then I can add it for you
CAN I GET A SAMPLE OF THE FLEECES?
Yes of course. Just E-mail me and you can have up to four samples sent for 99p which is the cost of the P&P
WHAT ARE YOUR ITEMS MADE FROM?
All items are made from high quality anti-pill fleece fabric, and polyester wadding. I do not use cotton as guinea pigs will eat cotton ( they don't eat fleece)
DO YOU USE FOAM IN YOUR ITEMS?
No. Upholstery foam (used by other cozie makers) is not designed to be machine washable, so will disintegrate when washed. It also absorbs liquid, so your pets will be left sitting in a sopping wet bed which will make your pets ill. (Wet bedding can lead to Bumblefoot, and respiratory and fungal infections)
HOW DO I WASH MY ITEMS?
Every order is sent out with care instructions, and all items are machine washable at 30 degrees. Please do not tumble dry as this will shorten the life of your items, and only use NON- washing BIOLOGICAL products. This is due to the sensitive nature of your pets' skin! DO NOT use fabric conditioner as this blocks the wicking capability of the fleece. I recommend HALO NON BIO wasihng liquid which is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial at 30 degrees. You can also add a cupful of white vinegar to the wash which will neutralise the smell of urine
HOW DO I DRY MY ITEMS?
Tumble drying will shorten the life of your items, so I don't recommend it. You can line dry items or pop them on the radiator. Please ensure that all items are FULLY DRY before giving them to your pets
HOW DO I PREVENT MY WASHING MACHINE FROM GETTING COVERED IN HAIR?
The most invaluable item you can ever buy is a Petwear Washbag! Just brush off any loose hair, hay and poo, and then pop your pet bedding in the washbag, zip it up and put it in the machine. Any bits of hay and hair are kept within the bag, so you keep your machine nice and clean and don't have to call the repair man out to unblock it. They are available from Moorland Rider
WHAT IS WICKING?
Wicking is the ability of a fabric to allow moisture through it. Whereas cotton will absorb liquid and get wet, fleece allows the moisture to go through it so remains dry.
DO I NEED TO WASH MY ITEMS BEFORE I USE THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Yes. This is to remove the coating that is on the fleece from the manufacturing process which blocks the wicking process. If you don't pre-wash your items when you get them, then any moisture ( ie urine) will remain on top of the surface rather than going through the fabric. Cage liners must be washed at least twice before use to aid the wicking process. The more often fleece is washed the better the wicking ability is.
DO I NEED TO WASH MY ITEMS EVERY DAY?
No. But you do need to air them every day. So remove your items and hang them up outside the cage daily. How often they will need washed will vary on how long they are being used for during the day. For example, if your pigs are in the garden all day in nice weather, they won't need washed as often as when they are snuggled up in their fleece items all day in the winter
ARE YOUR CAGE LINERS WATERPROOF?
NO! Waterproof cage liners ( where there is a waterproof membrane either inside the liner or as the bottom layer) are extremely bad for pigs, so I refuse to make them. The urine gets trapped inside the liner which means that they are left to sit on wet bedding which will lead to Bumblefoot, and respiratory and fungal infections
DO I NEED TO USE AN ABSORBENT LAYER UNDER MY CAGE LINERS?
Yes. The purpose of the liner is to give your pigs a dry layer to live on, so the fleece will wick the urine through into an absorbent layer underneath
WHAT CAN I USE AS AN ABSORBENT LAYER?
That's up to you. You can use newspaper, disposable puppy pads or even old towels. I personally use washable incontinence bed protectors designed for humans which are extremely absorbent and can be washed at 95 degrees and tumble dried. They are widely available, but click HERE for the ones that I use
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO CLEAN OUT IF I'M USING CAGE LINERS?
Cage liners need to be changed daily and hung up to air and it's literally a two minute job. Remove everything from the cage, gather up the liner by the corners and shake or brush off and poo, hay etc, hang it up to air ,and replace with another liner. They don't have to be washed daily, but they do need to be aired daily
HOW MUCH IS POSTAGE?

Yes, of course. If you are local to me in Rochford, Essex (UK) then you are welcome to collect your order by prior arrangement. Just ring or email me to arrange a collection time.
CAN I RING YOU TO DISCUSS MY ORDER OR FOR ADVICE ON MY ORDER?
Yes of course. You can ring or text me on 07717 364194
I'VE NEVER HEARD OF YOU. WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR REVIEWS?
I started Snoozie's Cozies in 2012 and have a Facebook page which has lots of reviews on it as well as over 4000 people who like the page. You'll find over three thousand photos of past orders I've made, as well as customers photos on the Facebook page HERE. When I get a chance, I will be updating the reviews page to the website too
Fantastic products (better than shop bought products) and excellent service. Would use again and highly recommend

ABOUT SNOOZIE'S COZIES
Welcome to Snoozie's Cozies. I make a range of fleece bedding and cage accessories for guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, hedgehogs and other small pets. Named after one of my wee Russian Dwarf hamsters Snoozie, Snoozie's Cozies started as a bit of an accidental business back in 2012. I owned a small animal boarding business at the time and also fostered poorly guinea pigs for my local guinea pig rescue. Once they recovered, they were supposed to go off to their new homes - though I ended up keeping most of them!! One piggy (Phoenix) was extremely unwell when he arrived and I needed something for him to snuggle up in, so I made my first Snoozie Cozie. Boarding customers were following Phoenix' story on Facebook, and saw him in his cozie and asked me to make them for their pigs too. Soon their friends were asking for them, and so Snoozie's Cozies was born. I now send my cozies all over the world. And all because of wee Phoenix - who lived out the rest of his life with me (of course!)
I currently have seven pigs who all live togther in the house with us, and have had 23 in total ( so far!) I've done a rodentology course with the Cambridge Cavy Trust, and I'm very keen on guinea pig welfare, so I will not make anything that will harm them (which is why I won't make waterproof cage liners for instance)
The piggy in the Snoozie's Cozies logo is Hamish, who was owned by a friend of mine. He was three days old at the time and is modelling a Hamster Cozie
I do everything myself, so you may have to wait for your order, but this ensures that all items are made to the same high standard.
